This is an area where mistakes and oversights can prove to be very costly. We can provide the client with the benefit of our previous experience which can help to eliminate problems that arise from a lack of understanding in this critical area.
In addition we can provide the added benefit of being in a position to advise the client on the whole range of options available when planning a facility so that the most cost effective and clinically appropriate solution can be realized.
We are able to offer advice based on our extensive experience in this area where our consultants have been involved in the design and build of around 50% of the bunkers in the UK and Eire.
The services we can provide include:
- Radiation protection requirements including room calculations for Radiation Therapy Systems
- Specialist concrete bunker structure design and build
- Advice on alternative bunker structures and designs
- Mechanical and Electrical requirements including facilities for Dosimetry and Physics QA activities
- RF shielding for MRI systems
- Location of the room in relation to other patient services to ensure correct and proper patient flows and clinical care
- Good knowledge of ADB and Hiltron design tools
